HARK! Part II: A Virtual Choose-Your-Own-Adventure Play is back on Thursday 6/18 at 7:30PM CDT!

After a successful first go at a live Zoom reading with audience participation affecting the direction of the story, Avalanche Theatre Company is back with the second episode of Hark! A Virtual Choose-Your-Own-Adventure Play at 7:30PM CDT on Thursday 6/18! This virtual staged reading will be less than an hour long, and admission is free, but audience members who donate $1 or more get to influence how this installment ends and leads into the next one. Last time, audience members decided this episode would include a betrayal, a mysterious ally with questionable motives, a prophecy, a flashback, someone’s memory being wiped, a new tradition being invented, a character learning about an allergy with alarming results, a ghost appearing, a slap, the Memory Box starts working, quicksand, a wise old tree, and the lines “I’d do anything for you. Except die. I won’t die for you. But anything else. Probably. Unless I think of something else I wouldn’t do. In summary, I’d do anything for you; subject to change,” AND “Why would I want to do you a favor? You just splashed me with boiling hot lava water!” Find out how playwright Alexander Utz managed to incorporate all these things and more in a less than 30 page script, and, if you donate $21, get a chance to participate in the drama yourself! A portion of the donations will go to community organization My Block My Hood My City, which works with underprivileged youth and is currently also directly benefiting seniors and local businesses. Keep an eye on the facebook event here, where the Zoom link will be posted on the day of the performance. I can’t wait to see what happens!
