Hi, I’m Rae!
I’m a nonbinary actor based in Los Angeles, and my pronouns are they/them. During my six years working professionally, I’ve worked on a wide variety of projects for the stage and screen, including Shakespeare, TYA musicals, improvised comedy webseries, and multiple plays including time-traveling aliens having rock & roll encounters with religious historical figures. I’ve also developed new skills, taking more on-camera classes, interacting directly with young audiences both on- and off-stage, and learning two dialects to go on as an understudy for Dull Gret and Angie in Remy Bumppo’s Top Girls. I can play characters of any gender (other than trans characters who were specifically assigned male at birth), which has recently included a lesbian single mom, a genderless clown, a very sleepy woodsman, and an entire collective society. I’m represented by BMG Talent.
I originally hail from Pittsburgh, PA, and I moved to Illinois to pursue a BA in Theatre from Northwestern University, which I received in 2016 along with a Minor in French and a Minor in Japanese. Along with my degree, I got the opportunity to learn stage combat (including performing twice in a full staged wrestling show) and to translate and produce a play I originally saw in French at the Festival D’Avignon. Nowadays, when I’m not at rehearsal, you can usually find me riding or working on a bicycle, playing Dungeons & Dragons, or baking something decadent around my friends’ various dietary restrictions.
I’m excited to see where my journey takes me next! I recently moved from Chicago to Los Angeles to expand into voice work and more screen acting.
